ABLE is a new tax-advantaged, State-sponsored savings program that helps
families with disabilities save for their education, housing, medical, and
other needs to achieve a better life experience. It is officially launching this week across
launch, Mississippi becomes the 42nd state to implement an ABLE (Achieving a
Better Life Experience) program, which was created by Congress in 2014 and
established in Mississippi in 2017.
Mississippi ABLE has a nine-member Board, on which Treasurer Fitch sits.
